With a 5* PADI dive centre 'Ocean College' on site, this hotel is great if you’re looking to explore Sharm’s underwater world. It’s also spot on for relaxing, thanks to a good-sized spa and wellbeing centre.

Elsewhere, two big pools are surrounded by padded loungers and a handful of palms. Just around the corner, you’ll find a poolside bar complete with a stylish courtyard area. Wooden benches and tables are topped with plump white cushions, and stone walls add a rustic touch. The views from here are impressive, too – you can see the Sinai Mountains in the distance.

Another great viewpoint – especially at sunset – is the hotel’s rooftop bar, which serves snacks and cocktails in the evenings. For proper meals though, head to the main restaurant. Breakfast here is a buffet affair, while evening meals are both à la carte and buffet.

The bedrooms here, meanwhile, have been simply styled, with neutral walls, tiled floors and wooden furniture. Each one offers up plenty of space, and comes with extras like air-conditioning and a satellite TV. In terms of location you’re in a pretty central spot. The old town of El Maya is just a 15-minute walk away, while Naama Bay’s shops and bars are ten minutes by car.
